This is a non-exhaustive list of files we currently support for conversion. The transcoder actually transcodes more formats than listed, but the most obscure ones have been ommitted.

Media formats
This list of file formats are common wrappers/containers for video-streams. In some cases a wrapper indicates also which codecs are embedded (mp3 for example), but a file has an .mov wrapper does not necessarily mean we also support its audio or video codecs.

Known problems
We don't currently deal well with audio-streams containing more than 2 channels (for example 5.1 sound). These files will end up having no sound in the transcoded file.
If a file contains multiple audio-streams (for example for different languages). The resulting file will also have no audio.
